WAVE Ventures, a Waco Texas-based investment firm, announced the appointment of John Vilade as a Venture Partner and Chief Executive Officer of 6P Color, Inc., a Burbank, CA-based WAVE Ventures portfolio company.
John Vilade brings decades of experience in the media industry, having guided sales and business development organizations through periods of significant growth and transformation. He has held senior leadership roles at prominent companies such as NBC Universal, Hulu, Discovery Networks and Tegna’s Premion.
6P Color is a company advancing color technology for consumer displays and industrial applications. Its Full Color Range (FCR)™ engine delivers a wide-gamut color experience across all devices. With over 70 patents already secured and several dozen more pending in the United States and internationally, 6P Color’s backward-compatible technology is poised to improve color management through expression of color gamut frequencies not previously possible on digital displays. The company is currently working with investors in its latest funding series and is providing select cohorts open access to its first FCR™ distributed color management system.
